CHIROPRACTIC CARE

Mind & Body Wellness... Elevated

Chiropractic adjustments help to strengthen the immune system, and good nutrition and exercise are the building blocks that allow the body to function at its optimal level.

Even if we did everything we could possibly do to live the "perfect lifestyle," there are no guarantees that we would be completely free from dis-ease.  However, living a health conscious lifestyle may significantly reduce the risks.  Choosing a health conscious lifestyle gives the body strength to fight off dis-ease by giving the immune system a boost.

Experience the Difference With Us

Each and every person who steps into our office is treated with integrity and compassion. You are important to us and we want to make sure that your experience with us exceeds your expectations. We take the time to listen to your health concerns and fears to assess whether or not we are the right fit for you. If we decide to proceed with a plan of care, your full spine x-ray will be carefully analyzed to be sure that we deliver your adjustment with precision and specificity. Be assured that you will not receive a “cookie cutter” plan of care. The frequency of your visits will be determined by your specific situation.

Our goal is not to see you as many times as possible, but to get you to a place where you are able to hold your adjustments and only need to come in for maintenance care. As a result, we hope that you will share us with your friends and family, so that we may have the opportunity to help them as we have helped you.

Why Chiropractic?

At first glance, it seems like it is much more affordable to buy a bottle of Aspirin than to get an Adjustment.  But consider the side effects of long term use of Aspirin and any drug that we put in our bodies.  America is the #1 consumer of painkillers in the world.  Is it because our body is deficient of these chemicals?

A 65-year-old takes an average of 18 different prescriptions daily, yet as a country, we are one of the sickest and most obese.

Chiropractic is about finding and correcting the cause of dis-ease, rather than just chasing the symptoms.  It is about the long-term preservation of our health and welling being, rather than the instant gratification of a quick “fix” that does not exist.

Chiropractic Principle #6:  The Principle of Time - There is no process that does not require time.

Every choice that you make today could help you express more Life, or bring you closer to Death.  #thepowerofourchoices

Chiropractic FAQ

Q: What is the function of my nervous system and why is it so important?

A: Your nervous system is the master system of your body made up of your brain, spinal cord, and nerve fibers that branch off from the spinal cord and extend to ALL PARTS OF THE BODY, including the neck, arms, torso, legs, skeletal muscles and internal organs.  Think of it as the central processing unit (CPU) of your body.  The CPU is located inside the computer case on the motherboard.  It is sometimes called the brain of the computer, and its job is to carry out commands.  Without the CPU, your computer will not be able to function properly, or at all.  The same goes for your nervous system.  When it is not working at its best, it could cause an array of problems in your body.

#didyouknow that because the brain and spinal cord is the system that controls all the functions in your body, it is also the only one surrounded by bony structures (the skull and the spinal column).

Q: How does adjusting my spinal column affects my nervous system?

A: When there is a misalignment of your spine, there is inflammation in the area.  Inflammation causes pain and dysfunction in the joint which affects the nerves coming out of the spinal column traveling to the other body parts.  For example, if there is a misalignment in the neck area, it can cause carpal tunnel symptoms in the hand, ringing in the ears, vertigo, migraines, tension headaches, and more.

Q: I’ve heard that once you go to a chiropractor, you have to go forever.  Is this true?

A: Yes and No.  You don’t have to do anything.  Life gives us choices.  A healthy lifestyle with chiropractic is a choice.  Would it make sense for you to wait until you lose a tooth to visit your dentist?  I hope your answer is no.  If this is so, why would you wait until your spine degenerates before you visit the chiropractor?  Is it wise to continue to go to your dentist for routine check-ups throughout your entire lifetime?  Why wouldn’t you want the same for your spine?

Q: How often should I get adjusted?

A: We do not sell a one size fits all plan of care to everyone who starts care at our office.  Everybody is different and heals differently.  The goal is not to see you as often as possible; rather it is to get you to the point of correction as quickly as your body allows.  Once we reach that point, we would space out your visits according to your personal needs to maintain a healthy, functioning spine.  For example, newborns do not need to get adjusted 3x/week for 3 months.  Dr. Clarence Gonstead always said, “Find it, Adjust it, and Leave it alone.”  Additional adjustment of segments that do not need to be adjusted could potentially reverse the positive effects of the original adjustment.
